Where Did You Find Your Dog?

Sugar was tied to a fence in front of a vet hospital with two ruptured mammary glands in New Haven, CT one snowy night in February 2012. It was evident she had recently had puppies and been bred many times. I was contacted by one of the technicians at the hospital about her need for surgery and rescue.

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

About a week after we rescued her, she had formed this amazing bond with me….and I hated to leave her at the vet every night. The thought of her alone and not with me became something I could not bear. She wiggled her way right into my heart.

She is my eternal best friend. Her love has made me smile when I felt like crying, and her attention has comforted me in even the darkest hours of my life. She has saved me far more than I saved her. She is the greatest gift I could ever receive in life.
