Project Blue Collar and Jolly Pets Announce Holiday Toy Drive for Shelter Dogs

by Kristin Waters |

Streetsboro, Ohio, November 2014 – Jolly Pets®, Inc. announced the launch of their Holiday Toy Drive with Project Blue Collar – Support the Underdog® to provide enrichment toys to shelter dogs.

Project Blue Collar (PBC) is a global, grassroots movement to promote dog adoption. The Support the Underdog® Blue Collar is the symbol of the movement and a way to create awareness about rescue dogs. Founded by two animal rescuers, PBC donates 20% of online sales to rescue organizations. All of PBC’s merchandise is designed to show rescue pride and create advocates for adoption in communities.

For the holiday season, Jolly Pets is teaming up with Project Blue Collar to make a difference for shelter dogs awaiting their forever homes. From 11/24 – 12/25, every transaction on our site will trigger a donation of a Jolly Pet toy to a shelter dog in need. Included in each order will be a thank you note listing the dog’s name receiving the Jolly Pet toy and the name of the shelter where the dog is. PBC and Jolly Pets will ask people to post about their purchase by using the #DogGotToy.

Project Blue Collar is committed to finding creative ways to support rescue organizations and they’ve selected 8 shelters across the U.S. to receive the Jolly Pet toy donations.

PBC Co-Founders, Carole Feeny and Kristin Waters, were elated to partner with Jolly Pets to help shelter dogs. “As animal rescuers, we’ve seen firsthand what a difference Jolly Pet toys make for shelter dogs. Enrichment activities are vital to the mental health and rehabilitation of shelter dogs. Sometimes those Jolly Pet toys are the first toys shelter dogs have ever had. We are so glad that Jolly Pets recognizes and values the role their products play in helping shelter dogs find their forever homes.”

Join us in supporting the underdogs this holiday season and  making their lives a little brighter!
