Where Did You Find Your Dog?

My dog (tank) was found by a fellow volunteer of Noahs-Bark Animal Rescue and Rehab on craigslist. The ad stated that whomever came to get him first could have him. So the president of the rescue went to get him. She found him on a 3 foot chain in the back yard. Where he had likely spent most of his life. My dads dog (knight) is from out of town. Originally knight was the companion of a 16 year old special needs child. One day the mom left the child and Knight to never return. Eventually the child ended up in the states care. Knight was then transported to Chattanooga.

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

The defining moment when I realized that Tank and I were meant for each other was on a night not too long ago. I had let Tank outside in the backyard to use the bathroom. 15 minutes later I go to the door to let him in. After yelling his name for some time I get nothing. I walk around the back yard and realized someone had left the gate open. In a panic I rush out front. I began to run to the neighbors house when I notice him asleep on the side patio. At that moment I knew that he knew this was his home.

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

Despite everything that he has been subject to he is still the most loving and loyal dog anyone could ask for. To say that he is my best friend is an understatement.
