Where Did You Find Your Dog?

We found Bailey, a blue heeler/shar pei mix, at Lucky Dog Retreat Rescue in Indianapolis in November of 2012. We found June, a red heeler/lab mix, at the same rescue in January of this year.

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

With Bailey, we had been looking for a dog for a little while and we were going to wait until Christmas to get one, but I saw a picture of this big headed beauty and we had to go pick her up. A little over a year later we started looking for sibling for Bailey. We went back to the same rescue and my husband found and fell in love with little June. She is a perfect fit in our little pack!

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

There’s no extremely heroic story with these two. My husband and I love dogs and believe adopting from a rescue is the only way. We had the time, money and more than enough love to give to a couple of pups (who truly deserve it!) Before living with us Bailey was a stray found in downtown Indianapolis and June was confiscated from her previous home by the police. Now they are pack sisters and the best two dogs anyone could ask for.
