Where Did You Find Your Dog?

I adopted them from the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers, Arkansas.

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

Stamford and Dempsey were 12 week old litter mates in the same pen at the shelter. I took them out to play and get to know them. They were both so sweet and full of energy, it was love at first sight. Of course, I couldn't take one without the other! That was three years ago and it is still the best decision I ever made. They keep each other company and out of trouble (mostly) when I'm not home.

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

Stamford and Dempsey are lab/border collie mixes and I quickly realized we needed a way to work out some of that puppy energy. We started running by doing the Couch to 5K program together. Since then I have lost weight and run a half marathon! I am much healthier and happier. I never could have done it without their motivation and enthusiasm!
