My dad and I had heard about some collie pups that had been rescued, and went to check them out. I had lost my collie, Sam, the previos year, and my other dog, Jack, was now less active and I thought another dog might get him going again. Well, the collie pups were at another shelter but dad and I stayed to look at the puppies. I saw Scarlet and that was it for me; when she ran over to my dad that sealed the deal!

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

Scarlet is the most loving dog I have ever known, and always happy. She is a wonderful sister to Jack and has literally brought him back to life! She is my constant companion and a joy to have! Our daily runs keep us active and the neighbors asking, ”Who’s walking who?”.
