Where Did You Find Your Dog?

I was searching everywhere for a puppy, a new best friend. I noticed on a yard sale Facebook page that a lady posted a lot of ads for different breeds of dog. I immediately thought the worst. I made an appointment to meet with her about some chihuahua puppies. I drove about 30 minutes to an old trailer a town away. It was secluded and junky. I walked to the porch and the smell was intense. When she answered probably 100 dogs of all shapes and sizes barked. There were puppies whining and crawling everywhere scared! I was in shock. She took me to a room I could barely walk in with fear I might step on a tail or tiny foot. I see the puppies in a corner under a purple laundry hamper. She said she did that while they were nursing. They weren’t eating at all. I’m assuming she thought these were more valuable and didn’t want them hurt. I almost walked out but then I saw my little ball of fur. He was so sweet. I picked him up. He smelled horrible. He looked in my eyes and licked my chin. I held him close and he nussled my neck. I knew then he was mine. I paid her 300 dollars and left that horrendous place. As soon as Riley and I were safe in the car I called 911. I got help between the local police and the shelters around the area to shut her down. She was arrested on cruelty charges later that week.

I knew the moment he nussled my neck and kissed me. I had to get at least one baby out of there. We bonded more through out the day and we are inseparable now.

He has helped me so much. I suffer from depression and anxiety. He keeps me calm and safe. I don’t know where I would be without him.
