Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.
So when I adopted Otis I had been looking for Rottweiler puppies for awhile on petfinder and found a litter of adorable Rottweiler x Husky puppies. This was on a Saturday and like normal most got adopted at the Saturday adoption event. Well the one I wanted with a blue x brown eye cross was adopted. So when I saw a couple weren’t adopted that Saturday I begged my mom if we could go to see them. But the day we went they were in there foster homes. I was obsessed with getting one of those puppies (literally every hour ) went on petfinder to see her. Well when I went on there petfinder page I saw Otis a 7 month old Rottweiler mix. I fell in love INSTANTLY with him and I feel it was fate because my mom did not want the husky fur and I really wanted a Rottweiler. Before I met Otis it was a Friday and I was in school. Well that WHOLE day all I could think and talk about was Otis. (My friends got SOO annoyed ) When we went to go see him the next day he was the only dog in the dog room that didn’t bark. He was quite and just a doll. When he came out he was very nervous and scared. He used to be a submissive peer (but outgrew it now) he peed and my mom instantly became hesitant about getting Otis. I fell in love with him through the picture they had on his petfinder (above) But when we were leaving the rescue because they were closing a older man came in and asked to see Otis. Kirk (an employee that Otis really bonded with) led him back to the dog room. I literally started crying because I really thought my mom would not let me get him. So I went back to my dads because it was Friday and on Saturday I woke up at 6 am so excited to go to the adoption event. When my mom & I got there it was probably a hour early. We got Taco Bell before then and I couldn’t even eat I was so excited. When we went in I was literally shaking with excitement. When it was time to decide to name him my mom suggested Zeus. I thought Zeus was not a good fit because he was just so kind and loving. So I decided to kee! p the name Otis because of how sweet and it was just a coincidence that (with my love of older music) my favorite song is â€I can’t turn you loose†by Otis redding. So EVERYTHING about Otis really seems and still seemed to be fate.
