How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

Suffering from severe depression. I had just lost my little Coco of 13 years. Two days later my daughter asked to stop at the Humane Society just to see if they had any small dogs. They only had the one and she was VERY nervous and just skin and bones. But she took right up with me and my daughter. The attendant seemed really surprised. My daughter wanted to find out more about her so we went up front They told us she had been rescued from a puppy farm. She had been in 3 foster homes and they hadn’t been able to get her to take up with anyone. They asked me if I wanted her. I told them I would love to have her, but didn’t have the money for the fee. They said, ”That’s not what we asked. Do you want her?” I told them yes. They GAVE her to me. They said they thought they were going to have to put her to sleep, because they couldn’t get her to eat and she wouldn’t take up with anyone. That’s been 8 years ago and you should see her now. After 2 months you could no longer see her ribs and back bone. She is happy and always has her tail wagging. She is very protective over me She definitely help to keep me from slipping any deeper into depression. I am so grateful for my little Celeste everyday. And to my daughter Tricia for talking me into stopping that day.
