When we contacted Sheltered Hearts and explained to them the furrever friend we were looking for, they brought out 7 dogs into a big fenced yard. Jake was the only one that found us out of the crowd!! No cliche here when I say ”it was love at first sight”. The ironic thing is that the owner said she brought him out at the last minute with the group because he had been there for about 3 months and was so ”active” that when she showed him to others, nobody else wanted him because they said he was too energetic. Their loss, OUR GAIN!!!!!

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

He goes everywhere with us that we can take him. As empty nesters, my daughter jokes that she’s been replaced by a very hairy boy! He is the MOST loving, gentle, kind/tender hearted boy we could EVER ask for!!! We are so in love with this 4-legged baby. We are as excited to see him after work as he is to see us.
