Where Did You Find Your Dog?

I found my sweet Cammy through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. I adopted her on Oct 11, 2013. Cammy had been in her foster mom’s home for over 7 months. She was rescued from a very high kill shelter in Atlanta, GA. She had never been in a house before and was likely used as a breeder for bait puppies. Cammy was heart worm positive when she was rescued. She came through treatment like a champ! After more than 7 mo in her amazing foster home, I happened to see her picture online and the rest is history. AAU does an amazing job rescuing and fostering animals in the greater Atlanta area. I’m very grateful for them for rescuing Cammy from the shelter and giving her a chance.

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

I saw a picture of Cammy online that Angels Among Us had posted and I knew at that moment she was the dog for me. I had already filled out an application a few months prior and was approved. I was just waiting for the right fur baby. I contacted the foster mom and went to meet Cammy. A few days later AAU did a home check and I picked Cammy up the next day.

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

Cammy is a true dream to have! I had lost my dog of 12 yrs to a brain tumor and didn’t think I’d ever be able to find another dog that would be a perfect fit. Cammy is my running and walking companion. She loves to be outside and walk or run. We did our first 5K last weekend and she had a great time!! I’m so blessed that we found each other.
