Where Did You Find Your Dog?

I found my sweet pup wrigley when I was attending Georgia Southern University. I passed through a parking lot and a man had 6 puppies in a small, rusty kennel with dirty water and no shade. It gets very hot in statesboro in the summer and this day was no exception. The man said if he didn't get them adopted he would take them to the pound because he had no other choice. With him being a pitbull mix, and knowing his breed would have no chance in a pound, I had to get one. When I brought Wrigs to the vet a few days later they found he had worms, no puppy shots and demodex mange. After medicine, lots of baths, love and kisses he is now a healthy and happy dog!

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

It was a very hard decision only choosing one puppy but when me and wrigs locked eyes we had an instant connection. All the puppies came out of the kennel to play and he just sat in the back corner crying. So I sat patiently in front of the opening and called to him and told him it was ok. He built up the courage and came closer to me. Once he reached the opening he climbed in my lap and curled up to me. I picked him up and held him for awhile and when ever I tried to put him down he cried and followed me everywhere I went. From that moment I knew he was mine and he hasn't left my side since!

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

Wrigley has changed my life in so many ways. Since the day I got him he's kept a smile on my face. He has sat by my side through tough times at school, licked away tears, and with his goofy personality made me laugh everyday. When I was away I missed family and friends and his company and companionship was just what I needed to push through. He is so loyal to me and loves to make me proud. He goes on runs with me at the park, loves car rides and is the best door greeter you could ask for after a long, hard day. I am so blessed to have him and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect dog!
