Where Did You Find Your Dog?

I located Vince at the local Humane Society here in Reno Nevada, the same place that Frankie was picked out from, I adopted Frankie for my Veteran Brother Rick a few years ago now because they had to verify residence and make sure it was ok with the home owner to adopt a dog so I did that for him. They both used to live together and man were they great together.

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

I walked into the Humane society looking for a partner in crime because I am a Veteran and I love the ability to have someone with me at all times that can stand by my side. I went through all the kennels and there were only two dogs that spoke to me. One was a 13 week old puppy, he was a pitbull but he just wasnt the one for me. The second was a 2 year old american bulldog, even though they have him classified as a pitbull you can see the difference. I knew when he came into the room to visit with Vince that he was the one for me. He was hyper at first because they had hot dogs for him to keep his attention but I told them I was not worried about his size or the type of dog he was. They tried to talk me out of adopting him because of his look but that only made me want to take him home even faster.

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

Vince is the most well behaved dog I have ever met, he doesnt destroy, he doesnt have seperation anxiety and he does exactly what I ask of him. He loves me unconditionally and because of that I couldnt ask for a better companion. He Rides with me everywhere in the car and he loves his trips to the dog park. No matter what kind of day I am having or even if I am battling depression from my time in the Army, Vince knows how I am feeling and always makes it better. Hes also great at watching my 6. Vince always gets the looks from people at the dog park or on walks (complete fear) but after a few minutes the people put aside their assumptions because of his breed and realize that hes a lover to the core and he will protect you from danger. The bully breeed, pitbulls, and all other dogs with bad names shouldnt be judged due to bad owners.
