Where Did You Find Your Dog?

I found Sampson at the Mahoning County Dog Pound in a kennel in the middle of all the other dogs. The people who found him said he was a stray in a town not too far from my own. They named him stinky because his wonderful smell of the skunk he was sprayed by.

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

He was the only dog laying on his mat. He wasn’t barking, jumping, or whining like the other dogs there. When I walked up to his cage, he got up to where I was and nudged his nose on the fence. As soon as I was able to take him out and walk him, I fell in love.

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

Sampson is not only the best dog I have ever had, but the most loyal companion. We’ve always had dogs in our house that we have saved, but Sampson saved me in more ways than one. I couldn’t feel luckier than the day I rescued him from the dog pound. He continues to change my life every day and he is the reason I spread the word to support the underdog!
