Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

The moment he was let out of the cage and into my arms he showed me constant love and affection. I’ve never see someone or something so happy to be in the arms of a human. He came home with me the next day and was very skiddish about a lot. He didn’t have much of a life before but being in a cage in a high kill shelter. I had to teach him to climb stairs and that the tv was nothing to be afraid of. I also taught him how to play with toys and learn fetch and even tug of war. My life revolves around his happiness – always has and always will.

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

I thought I knew what I was in for but I didn’t. I wanted a smart high energy dog and I got it in spades. He has taught me so much about far more than just taking care of an animal but about mindfulness of empathy and patience, timid and nervous, joyful and eager, perceptive and brilliant, and his own personality. I couldn’t be more grateful to have him in my life for he has shown me that he’s my greatest support and best protection.
