- : Being in the military, stress is always present. There are days when I get home and all I want to do is be in my own world. But Daisy doesn't allow me to be alone, she is always by my side. I know she senses when I'm beginning to feel stressed and will literally cram her body into the tiniest space left on the couch so she can comfort me and show me that life is going to be okay. The only feeling she allows me to have is an overwhelming sense of bliss. I love this dog.
- : At first, we meant for her to be a rescue/re-home. The moment I knew we were meant for each other was when I was working on socializing Daisy the day after her rescue. I noticed she absolutely loved to run and chase a ball I was throwing around, so I threw a tennis ball hoping she'd be one to play fetch with. Well, she ran for the ball, laid down next to it, smiled and barked at me. I knew then the roles had switched and I was playing fetch with her, so I ran to grab the ball and throw it more so she can chase it. All day, I had been wondering what to name this abused, malnourished AND pregnant dog. (We found out she was pregnant about two weeks before her due date. All 5 pups have amazing homes!) I looked over her as she rolled over exposing her belly, demanding I rub it when I noticed she was laying next to a daisy flower. Thus, she became Daisy Dog. Also known as Crazy Daisy.(I later found out I had mistaken the daisy with a wild flower, oops.)
