Where Did You Find Your Dog?

We found Aspen through Petfinder. We had a white Boxer that had passed away about 18 months before we found Aspen. He was a foster pup at Alabama Boxer Rescue in Prattville, Alabama. We live outside of Birmingham, AL (about 90 minutes away). We talked with Linda at the rescue about Aspen because our sons were 8 & 2 at the time. We had to be sure that we found the right pup for our family.

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

We were headed to Destin, FL for vacation, so we stopped on the way to meet Aspen & we all fell in love with him! Our sons wanted to take him to the beach with us, but we couldn't, so we settled for picking him up on our way back home.

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

Thankfully, Aspen's first owners were a very loving family. They were a military family & were transferred away & could not take him with them. We are so blessed to have found him & to have him in our family! He is the funniest, sweetest boy. He goes to bed with our oldest son, Jack, every night. He watches over our family, especially Jack & Luke. We couldn't have asked for a better pup!
