Where Did You Find Your Dog?

I found her ad on Kijiji

Tell Us About the Moment When You Knew that You Two Were Meant for Each Other.

One night my husband and I decided that we were ready to get a dog. I knew that there was no way I was going to purchase, knowing that so many animals are being put down on daily basis just broke my heart. I decided to take my chances and started to look up adds on Kijiji. A couple weeks had passed with no luck but one night that all changed! There I saw a picture of a lil peanut curled up in what looked like a cat bed. I instantly fell in love, then I saw her second picture and she was in the car with her foster brother, they looked so happy. I showed my husband her picture and for him it was love at first sight too! I emailed them right away to see if she was still available and it turned out that she was. I found out that this small rescue group rescued her from a high kill shelter in California and she was scheduled to be euthanized the day after she was rescued! I filled out the adoption form and in a matter of a day we met her, she was running on the beach with 15 other dogs and she couldn’t be any happier. It took us all of 2 seconds to know that she was meant for us and we have never looked back since!

How Has Your Hero Changed Your Life?

I know that you don’t get the dog you want but the one you need. Addie has taught me to be more patient in stressful situations and what a dogs true love really is. The best part of her changing my life is she has taught me to stand up for what is right! Since Addie is a pit bull we have come across some people who are terrified or just uneducated on how awesome the breed really is but for the most part they all fall in love with her squishy face (I mean, how could you not?!). I love my girl to death and would do anything for her! I will always rescue because the love they have can never be replicated.
